Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic - Day Shift

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks with a focus on precision, efficiency, and lasting quality
• Serve as a mentor and technical resource for other technicians in the shop
• Analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions and determine the best repair strategy
• Execute repairs or rebuilds on major systems including engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems
• Maximize uptime and get trucks back on the road quickly, safely, and correctly the first time

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks
• Experience with engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Cummins and MX software experience preferred
• Self-motivation and assertiveness
• Ability to work under little or no supervision
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills
• Must provide own tools

Pay

$40.90–$45.45 per hour (depending on experience)
