Fellowship will entail three concurrent components equally weighted under the supervision of the Psychologist: 1) a clinical psychology training fellowship, 2) a research and education component under Psychologist supervision, and 3) mentorship of psychology fellows. In accordance with established guidelines, this fellowship will be the equivalent of up to two full years (24 months) of education and training in clinical psychology and psychology-related disciplines. Provides assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning services for patients with medical and developmental disorders resulting in emerging skills and potential for independence in autonomous decision making, assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based interventions and inter/intra community resource coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning services for patients with medical and developmental disorders.
  • Engage in clinical psychology training, research, education, and mentorship of psychology fellows.
  • Apply evidence-based interventions and coordinate inter/intra community resources.
  • Work effectively with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems of children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
  • Cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Make sound clinical decisions regarding patient acuity and appropriate dispositions.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counseling, or Educational Psychology.
  • Must have satisfactorily completed one year, full-time equivalent of psychology fellowship.

Skills

  • Knowledge of human development, psychological treatment, and intervention modalities with children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Understanding of psychosocial factors relevant to mental health, such as personality, human growth and development, interpersonal relationships, group process, family dynamics, community integration, and socioeconomic resource provisions.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to American Psychological Association ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, psychotherapeutic modalities, interventions, and psychotropic medications.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of psychiatric treatment problems and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

Pay Range is $93,600.00 to $93,600.00 annual salary.
