Advanced Practitioner, NP/PA, Breast Surgery

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Breast Surgery team in High Point, North Carolina. This is a 1.0 FTE hybrid inpatient/outpatient position offering the opportunity to support patients across the breast surgery continuum of care. The APP will work collaboratively with the supervising physician and interdisciplinary care team while providing high-quality, patient-centered care in both the clinic and hospital setting. This opportunity is open to experienced APPs as well as new graduates who are interested in developing their career in breast surgery.

Responsibilities

• The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with the breast surgery team to support the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Provide patient-centered care within the Breast Surgery service
• Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinical setting
• Participate in inpatient care responsibilities as appropriate to the position
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care in collaboration with the supervising physician
• Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic studies and clinical testing within the APP's scope of practice
• Provide patient and family education throughout the course of care
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
