About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the MSK Kids Pediatric ICU team. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals in an acute care setting, delivering comprehensive care to Pediatric ICU patients, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs. MSK Kids is at the forefront of pediatric cancer care, combining specialized expertise with personalized care for children, young adults, and families battling childhood cancer. Our commitment to research drives innovative strategies for prevention, treatment, and ultimately, a cure.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with physicians, healthcare team members, surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
- Provide thorough and holistic care to Pediatric ICU patients, addressing their medical and psychosocial needs.
- Conduct detailed history and physical assessments to inform treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited PA program (for PAs) or Master’s degree in nursing (for NPs).
- NCCPA certification (for PAs) or Pediatric Acute Care NP certification (for NPs).
- Active New York State (NYS) license or qualification for state licensure.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred (1+ years of prior clinical experience in a PICU for NPs).
- Prescriptive privileges or eligibility (for NPs).
Schedule
- 13 shifts per 4-week schedule, 12-hour night shifts including weekend and holiday rotation.
Pay
- Annual pay range: $155,500 - $197,400.
- Eligible for a Critical Care Allowance of $8,600 annually.
