About the role

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join our pediatric surgery and trauma program at Primary Children's Hospital. Primary Children’s Hospital is a full-service level 1 pediatric trauma center certified by the American College of Surgeons and serves six Intermountain states.

Responsibilities

  • Works in conjunction with and under the direction of pediatric surgeons to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with surgical needs and traumatic injuries.
  • Primarily spends time managing patients on the units, doing consults and providing trauma telehealth services.
  • Assists with emergent cases during night and weekend shifts at the Salt Lake campus, with regular opportunities available at the Lehi campus.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Utah state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Utah state controlled substance license.
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Prior Pediatric APP experience is highly preferred.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $63.07 - $97.30, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

Schedule

Full-time, the APP will work approximately 40 hours per week. The schedule includes six 12-hour shifts (0600-1800, 0830-2030, 1800-0600) per biweekly pay period, with additional eight hours available for required training, meetings, documentation, etc.
