About the role
The Advanced Practice Provider will work alongside an experienced team of two surgeons and one other APP to deliver patient-centered comprehensive care. This position focuses on all areas of inpatient and outpatient clinical care, operating room duties, and requires a mix of day, night, and weekend responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating ED and inpatient consults, rounding on postoperative patients, admissions, discharges, performing bedside procedures, and patient care coordination.
- Providing preoperative and postoperative visits, hospital follow-ups, cancer surveillance, tube/drain removal, and managing various acute and chronic conditions.
- Taking charge of patient care, maintaining comprehensive and concise records, and incorporating evidence-based hospital initiatives.
- Leading or participating in projects to improve productivity and quality of care.
- Performing medical procedures consistent with departmental guidelines and privileging.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department.
- DEA license.
