Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) - NC Urology Raleigh

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider will work alongside a team of surgeons and APPs to deliver comprehensive urologic care at Rex/UNC Hospital and Rex/UNC Holly Springs Hospital. The position focuses on inpatient and outpatient clinical care, operating room coverage, and patient care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Obtains relevant health and medical history, performs thorough physical assessments, reviews and interprets diagnostic tests/results.
• Develops and implements treatment plans, including prescribing/ordering of appropriate pharmacological agents.
• Maintains comprehensive and concise patient records.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of general disease and pathologic processes, and specialty literature.
• Conducts preventive health screenings based on patient needs.
• Collaborates with clinicians, staff, and students to promote continuity and patient/family centered care.
• Educates clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Participates in community/outreach programs and leads such initiatives.
• Engages in continuous quality improvement by identifying and implementing processes for improvement.
• Works with management to assess, solve, and evaluate clinical/system issues and model of care.
• Develops and leads new clinical programs or services within the department/unit/clinic to improve patient care.

Requirements

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) in the state of North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department.
• DEA.
