Advanced Practice Provider (NP) Urgent Care Per Diem

About the role

Providers work as part of an interdisciplinary team at UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics in Raleigh, NC and surrounding counties, treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and delivering occupational health services and exams. This is a Per Diem | Float Pool position available at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries
• Provide occupational health services and exams
• Perform suturing and splinting procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation (EPIC‑EMR)

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current NC licensure or ability to obtain licensure

Skills

• Experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with the team
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• DOT certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with EPIC‑EMR

Pay

Competitive, Per Diem, Hourly Pay Rate – not benefit eligible.

Schedule

Expected .10 FTE Per Diem: 12‑hour shifts (8 am–8 pm), 2 shifts per 6 weeks, Sunday–Saturday, plus weekends and holidays; flexible Per Diem | Float Pool schedule across multiple locations.
