About the role

Avance Psychiatry stands out in the psychiatric community for its focus on an integrated approach to psychiatric disorders that includes collaboration with behavioral therapists and primary care. Led by a team of experienced and respected psychiatrists with expertise in clinical care, research, and education in General Psychiatry, Addictions, Medical Pain, Treatment‑Resistant Disorders, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the practice emphasizes rational, patient‑centered management using pharmacology, behavioral therapy, and family involvement. Specialized treatments such as ketamine infusions, buprenorphine, and Spravato are utilized as appropriate, and ongoing research keeps the clinic at the leading edge of psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8 am–5 pm), with no on‑call or weekend hours.
• Supported by medical assistants and patient coordinators.
• See patients with psychiatric conditions who are commercially insured.
• Work within an integrated system alongside practitioners in primary care, neurology, addiction, MAT, interventional psychiatry, child psychiatry, and over 60 behavioral therapists.
• Patient load split 50% telehealth and 50% on‑site visits.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certification or equivalent PA program degree.
• Current valid state medical license.
• DEA license.
• All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
