Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - General Cardiology Consults
About the role
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The APP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians to deliver a full scope of patient care, focusing on preventive health or the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions, and performs medical services specifically authorized by the credentialing and certifying bodies governing their licensure.
In this role, the APP delivers care during acute and chronic phases of illness, provides education and counseling to individuals and families, promotes health and prevention, and makes referrals to other healthcare providers and community resources as appropriate.
Join a collaborative cardiology team providing both inpatient and outpatient care at OSU East. The role blends inpatient general cardiology consult coverage with outpatient clinic responsibilities, including post‑hospital follow‑up care. Providers independently manage and bill for patient care, conduct inpatient consult rounds throughout the hospital, and maintain their own panel of patients in the cardiology clinic, offering the opportunity to build long‑term patient relationships across a diverse spectrum of cardiovascular care settings.
