Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Cardiology
Qualifications
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Rhode Island license or ability to obtain — compact license may apply
Cardiology experience preferred — not required
New NP and PA graduates with genuine interest in cardiovascular medicine welcome
Strong communicator with a patient-centered, team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic setting
- Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and ongoing disease management
- Order and interpret EKGs, cardiac monitoring, imaging, stress testing, and lab results
- Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with supervising cardiologists
- Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and risk reduction
- Care coordination with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation
