Advanced Practice Provider - New York Cancer & Blood Specialists
About the role
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its hematology and oncology team in a float role serving the Poughkeepsie and Fishkill communities. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians across multiple clinic locations, providing variety in your day while building meaningful relationships with patients throughout their care journey. Responsibilities
- Provide medical care under the supervision of licensed physicians
- Conduct patient evaluations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and manage patient medication regimens
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely
- Adhere to hospital and clinic policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Hematology/Oncology
- Current certification as an NP-C or PA-C
- Active New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
- Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Passing scores on relevant national certification exams
Skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of oncology treatments and protocols

Pay
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary Range: between $140,000 - $165,000 annually.
