About the role

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its hematology and oncology team in Middletown. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and fellow care team members to provide compassionate, patient-focused care in a collaborative outpatient setting. The position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while supporting them throughout their treatment journey, from initial evaluation through ongoing follow-up care. This opportunity is ideal for an APP who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and is passionate about delivering high-quality cancer care within a well-established and growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to provide comprehensive patient care in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Provide medical and psychosocial support to patients and families during diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to the development of new treatments and protocols
  • Stay current with the latest advances in hematology and oncology through continuing education and professional development

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Experience in hematology and/or oncology, either as an RN or APP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Master's or Doctoral degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
  • Passing scores on relevant national certification exams (NCLEX-PN for NPs, PA-C certifying body for PAs)

  • Strong clinical skills in hematology and oncology
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems

Pay

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary Range: between $140,000 - $165,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday.
