About the role
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides medical care to patients within a detailed scope of practice under the direct supervision of a collaborative physician, physician site leader, and practice manager.
Responsibilities
- Completes physicals
- Orders diagnostic and therapeutic modalities: e.g., laboratory, x-ray, EKG, etc.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and infection management
- Prescribes medications
- Instructs and educates patients and their families in proper healthcare, appropriate illness prevention, and home care
- Documents in the patient chart progress notes, orders, etc.
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners OR Physician Assistant-Master’s Degree
- Licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Missouri
- Previous Experience (1+ years as practicing APP) in primary care or similar setting is preferred
Qualifications
Credentialed as a mid-level provider by the same Hospital(s) in which the collaborative physician has admitting privileges.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong clinical judgment are essential.

Pay
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000, depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, this position may also be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation bonus equaling a total target cash compensation that may be between $110,000 - $150,000.
Schedule
A 4.5 day work week; No weekends or evenings.
