Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures as a first or second assist, adhering to aseptic techniques and surgical protocols.
- Perform surgical procedures under supervision or independently, as per scope of practice and credentialing.
- Provide postoperative follow-up care, including wound management, suture/staple removal, and patient education.
- Assess, evaluate, and manage patients, including minor, acute, chronic, and episodic illnesses and injuries.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, documenting all details in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and other providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide case management services to assist clients and families with needed services.
- Review patients’ health backgrounds and provide health counseling and education.
Requirements
The successful candidate must hold a Master's Degree and have completed a Masters Degree training program. No call coverage is required, and the position is full-time with 32 hours per week.
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of Wisconsin. Must have experience in surgical settings and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in electronic medical records, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
