About the role

Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, invites applications for the position of Inpatient General/Non-Invasive Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care transitions, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Schedule: Average 40 patient-facing hours per week inpatient.

Position Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner: Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).
• CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Physician Assistant: Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• CPR and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
• APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification if doing Inpatient work.
