Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Surgery (Nocturnist)

About the role

Monument Health is seeking a full-time nocturnal APP to work at an established cardiovascular surgery practice in Rapid City, SD. In this role, you will work overnight shifts covering the inpatient cardiovascular surgery service.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility in their respective specialty area under physician supervision according to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Manage selected at-risk or complex patients and aggregate patient populations in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide care on a continuing basis, demonstrating knowledge, critical thinking, and skills.

Requirements

• In South Dakota, certifications required: Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) from the South Dakota Board of Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA) from the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
• Experience preferred but not required; new graduates welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Motivated and driven individual with outstanding patient care and communication skills.
• Experience in clinical settings and healthcare preferred but not required.

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
