Overview

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Flex/PRN Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join its Inpatient Behavioral Health team at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, a 276-bed hospital with a 26-bed Behavioral Health Unit. Responsibilities

• Monday–Friday coverage needed; scheduling by mutual agreement
• Perform initial assessments, monitor daily progress, and handle discharges
• Provide medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate
• Partner with care coordination teams, families, and patients
• Assess and manage crisis situations
• Document in a fully integrated EHR (Epic)

Requirements

• Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current, unrestricted DEA license
• Ability to provide quality, comprehensive, continuity of medical care in a compassionate manner with minimum supervision
