Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) - Outpatient Gynecologic Oncology

JOB SUMMARY— Gynecologic Oncology The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides general and specialty medical and/or surgical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. The APP will have an opportunity to practice autonomously and collaboratively within their established scope. All TGH team members are responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital. RESPONSIBILITIES— Gynecologic Oncology The APP will care for patients on the outpatient Gynecologic Oncology Service.Perform standard exams and evaluations.Pre & post operative evaluation of gynecologic oncology inpatients.Assist with the management of chemotherapy treatments.Communicate with primary & multidisciplinary team to collaborate on the management of gynecologic oncology diagnoses.Requests, interprets and evaluates diagnostic and laboratory tests and takes appropriate actions as medically indicated in accordance with departmental protocols. Identifies and reports any specific signs and symptoms, problems or potential problems requiring further assessment, communication and/or intervention to promote positive outcomes.Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals including attending physicians, residents and fellows to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrates current knowledge and level of expertise utilizing evidence and theory-based practice, infection control standards and clinical evaluations in providing care to clients in clinic or hospital-based settings, as evidenced by following established protocols.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably EpicAbility to multitask in a dynamic environment.Strong written and oral communication skills.Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution abilities.Current licensure as Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Acute Care certification Experience in gynecologic oncology or care of surgical patients is preferred.
