Position Summary
The APRN/PA works in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members, in an active practice to deliver health care services to patients and families. Provides direct patient care. Performs procedures and prescribes medications under protocol. Provides patient education and counseling. Participates in the marketing, evaluation and growth at JMC. The position will support the physician plus assisting as first assist in the OR. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

- Provide patient education and counseling.
- Participate in marketing, evaluation, and growth initiatives at Jupiter Medical Center.
- Support physicians and assist as first assist in the OR.
- Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Degree.
- Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Demonstrates high-quality case management abilities and clinical competency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
- Frequently assist in lifting patients and heavy equipment.
- Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, and be detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
Threshold Requirements
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service, and health requirements, including attendance at new employee orientation.
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
