Advanced Practice Prov Fellow- ED Observation

About the role

Transform Healthcare seeks Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant candidates for a unique Observation Medicine Fellowship. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and competency of core skills related to observation medicine.

Responsibilities

• Pass monthly core competency assessments
• Participate in lecture and ground rounds
• Be proficient in simulation lab exercises
• Demonstrate patient care skills commensurate with working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Serve as a member of a dynamic healthcare team
• Provide quality service in a caring and professional manner
• Support team efforts to ensure cost effectiveness and service excellence
• Identify and manage patient health and medical status
• Initiate screening and diagnostic procedures
• Manage minor trauma and acute health problems
• Coordinate care with various specialty services
• Manage stable chronically ill patients
• Choose appropriate patient disposition

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• Experience: 0
• Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license, DEA licensure, AHA BLS, ACLS certification
