Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA), Inpatient Stroke Program - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

About the role

The Neuroscience Advanced Practice Professional supports the Comprehensive Stroke Program at Atlantic Health System. This includes direct attending oversight and education during the training/education period with the goal of independent review of clinical cases with attending support when needed. Primary responsibility involves the care and management of cerebrovascular cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct attending oversight and education during the training/education period with the goal of independent review of clinical cases with attending support when needed.
• Care for and manage cerebrovascular cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Promote equity and excellence in neurological patient care.
• Educational growth both personally and cross-disciplines to become a leader in cerebrovascular care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• 3 years of neurology experience preferred.

Schedule

Monday through Friday at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center with a mix of primarily inpatient and as needed outpatient clinic responsibility depending on shift assigned.
