Advanced Practice Pharmacy Tech- Cancer Center

Responsibilities

• Practice within all State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA rules and regulations
• Preparation of prescription orders
• Unit dose preparation of oral solids, ensuring pre-packaging records are complete
• Dispensing knowledge and functionality of automated dispensing machines (ADM)
• Run reports from ADMs and/or enter required documentation within ADMs
• Purchase / Inventory Control
• Absorbs and returns to wholesaler
• Stocks / restocks
• Maintain a completely clear and clean workspace at all times (sterile and non-sterile areas)
• Temperature control logs

Requirements

• Prior Inpatient Experience Required
• Sign-on Bonus Available!

Qualifications

• High School Diploma in or GED Required
• Other / Certificate in Completion of a formalized Technician Training Program. Preferred
• Other pharmacy technician experience or completion of a formalized technician training program. Required 3 years of pharmacy technician experience (retail, hospital, infusion clinics, medication reconciliation or wholesaler experience). Preferred
• Pharmacy Technician (LPT) - License by AZ State Board of Pharmacy Required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Certification issued by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR by the certification of pharmacy technicians (ExCPT) Preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Diploma Preferred
