About the Role
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care within established protocols, policies, and standards. Functions within approved scope and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, and treat patients across various age groups, including geriatrics.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and labs accurately.
- Manage chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
- Promote disease prevention through risk assessment, coaching, and counseling.
- Complete Medicare Wellness physicals per guidelines.
- Handle emergent medical situations appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume setting and cross-functionally at different locations as needed.
Requirements
- 2-4 years' clinical experience, preferably in Family Medicine.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in diagnostic testing and patient education.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), especially EPIC.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted NP or PA license in the practicing state.
- Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or PA-C).
- CPR (BLS) and ACLS certifications; DEA registration if prescribing medications.
- Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
