About the Role

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care within established protocols, policies, and standards. Functions within approved scope and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, evaluate, and treat patients across various age groups, including geriatrics.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and labs accurately.
  • Manage chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes, and asthma.
  • Promote disease prevention through risk assessment, coaching, and counseling.
  • Complete Medicare Wellness physicals per guidelines.
  • Handle emergent medical situations appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume setting and cross-functionally at different locations as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' clinical experience, preferably in Family Medicine.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic testing and patient education.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), especially EPIC.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Valid, unrestricted NP or PA license in the practicing state.
  • Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or PA-C).
  • CPR (BLS) and ACLS certifications; DEA registration if prescribing medications.
  • Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
