Responsibilities
- Cook up the weekly Pulmonary Nodule conference and build bridges with a diverse bunch of healthcare professionals.
- Act as the Lung Cancer Screening program navigator, independently assessing patients, making recommendations based on Lung RADS classification, and keeping track of patient data.
- Assess and manage inpatients during their hospital stay, from initial consults to postoperative care.
- Coordinate inpatient discharges and provide follow-up care for postoperative patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Delaware.
- Valid Controlled Substance Registration with Delaware/DEA.
- BLS (Basic Life Saving) certification.
Skills
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs.
- Able to keep confidential patient and team information secure.
- Capable of handling crisis situations.
- Strong customer service skills, able to interact with patients, team members, and visitors.
- Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Credentials
- Physician Associate (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certified in medical surgery.
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification.
Education
- Master of Science (MS) in ACNP plus NP certification in medical surgery.
