About the Role
The Advanced MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist operates imaging equipment and software, primarily MRI equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Schedule
20 hours per week
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion of required clinical hours
- 1 year of relevant experience
- State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice
- Certification/Registration: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and using imaging software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Skilled in effectively communicating with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support
- Ability to communicate and work effectively within a healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
