The role involves integrating electric, gas, water, thermal, and other utility metering data into enterprise monitoring platforms, with a specific focus on Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert (PME).

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and support advanced metering integrations based on project plans, specifications, utility requirements, and customer operational needs
  • Integrate metering devices, gateways, data loggers, and building systems into Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert (PME) and related enterprise energy platforms
  • Configure meter hierarchies, device drivers, dashboards, alarms, reports, data logs, and user access within PME
  • Perform communications troubleshooting for metering networks using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP, pulse outputs, and other common utility metering interfaces
  • Validate meter data accuracy, trend collection, timestamps, scaling, units, and point-to-point mapping from field devices through the monitoring platform
  • Collaborate with engineering, controls, IT, cybersecurity, commissioning, and facility operations teams on metering architecture, network requirements, data standards, and integration strategy
  • Develop and maintain metering documentation, device inventories, network diagrams, integration notes, test scripts, and as-built records
  • Support commissioning, functional testing, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of metering systems and PME integrations
  • Provide customer training on meter data interpretation, PME dashboards, reporting tools, alarms, and ongoing operational use
