Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule Veteran appointments across one or more clinics
- Verify and update Veteran demographic and insurance information at each encounter
- Manage active/pending consults and return-to-clinic lists daily
- Perform full range of receptionist and customer service duties
- Collect, scan, and update health insurance records; identify third-party insurance
- Advise Veterans on Beneficiary Travel eligibility and reimbursement
- Participate in daily team huddles and weekly PACT meetings
- Ensure accurate EHR data entry and support administrative workload reporting
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of medical administrative experience OR certification from an accredited institution in medical administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must pass background investigation (Tier 1/Low Risk); PIV card required
- Must complete required VA mandatory training prior to start
