Job Description
TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include the facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students. Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences. Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC.
Essential Functions
- Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate students' learning.
- Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques.
- Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, and equipment security where applicable, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
- Perform student advisement such that students are provided with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to ensure students receive current information on tutoring and other programs designed to increase retention.
- Participate in related tours and recruitment events. Assist in department/program recruitment planning.
- Demonstrate a willingness to be of service and exhibit pleasant and courteous behavior toward customers (students, parents, employers, and media), organizational coworkers, and other general public contacts.
- Maintain flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments, as appropriate.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Commit to the mission, vision, and values of the college.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required.
- 2–3 Years Of Professional Experience Required.
- Exceptional cases of professional experience or credentialing in lieu of the above requirements may be considered on an individual basis by the Vice Chancellor who oversees academic programs or his/her designee.
- Verifiable work experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Working Knowledge Of The Following:
- AC/DC electrical systems and schematics
- Vacuum systems
- Gas delivery systems
- Calibration of optical, fluid, and mechanical systems
- Basic robotics programming
- RF generation systems
- Plasma deposition systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of:
- Statistical Process Controls
- HMI interface
- PLC programming
- Lever manufacturing certifications

Work Environment & Additional Information
- Work Location: On-Campus position that requires employees to be physically present at the assigned campus location as scheduled by their manager.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to different office locations and events.
- Work Shift Flexibility: To work outside regular business hours as needed.
- Time Type: Fulltime, requiring a standard 40-hour work week.
- FLSA Classification: Salaried, exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- ORP Eligibility: This position is ORP eligible.
