Advanced Manufacturing Instructor
About the role
Johnson College is seeking part-time Advanced Manufacturing Instructors. The ideal candidate must have experience with manual mills and lathes, including working with various cutting tools, end mills, boring equipment, and rotary index equipment. Knowledge of CNC programming, G & M codes, and CNC mills/lathes is also required.
Responsibilities
- Course development and instructional delivery
- Student assessment
- Organizing and delivering class syllabi and objectives
- Maintaining an organized and safe lab
- Maintaining and preparing training aids, tools, and equipment for use in the classroom and labs
- Keeping accurate records of student performance and submitting academic records on time
- Providing students with timely feedback
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's degree and/or 4-5 years of technical experience
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required for most positions
- Strong communication skills
- Expertise in the program area
- Good managerial skills
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Assessment skills
- Organizational skills
- Word processing skills
