Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Senior Advanced
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic insights and direction for advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives.
- Develop and implement advanced manufacturing strategies to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets.
- Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions.
- Use DFx tools to analyze design and influence design improvements.
- Apply APQP & Lean tools and incorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing techniques.
- Mentor and coach junior level engineers.
- Support production teams with identification/resolution of new product line issues.
- Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics).
- 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or relevant fields.
- 5 years of experience in aerospace and/or defence industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with engines, turbomachinery, electrical motors, and/or power generation systems.
- Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Experience in the use of Lean tools.
- Ability to think strategically and drive change in a dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence in manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills.
