About the role

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Senior Advanced NC Programmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. You will report directly to our Engineering Director and work onsite at our Torrance, CA location.

In this role, you will impact our manufacturing processes by optimizing production workflows and driving continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality in our operations. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee advanced machining processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement NC programs to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Proven experience in NC programming, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of NC programming in NX and using Vericut verification software.
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts and symbols.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
  • Familiarity with NX or similar CAD software.

We value:

  • Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), IE (Industrial Engineering), or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
  • Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
  • Experience programming 3, 4, and 5 axes mills.
  • Experience programming lathes.
  • Experience using NX programming software.
  • Experience machining aluminum, titanium, and Inconel aerospace parts.
  • Experience creating work holding fixtures and selecting cutting tools for machining aerospace components.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $119,600 to $177,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
