Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities
- Deliver automation across products and processes, including heat exchanger automation for water-cooled and air-cooled systems, and final assembly automation.
- Own or support PLC/HMI/safety logic for manufacturing automation systems, utilizing Rockwell and Siemens PLCs.
- Drive reliability improvements through enhanced diagnostics, alarm rationalization, and fault recovery.
- Identify and quantify hard savings opportunities tied to automation, such as labor reduction, scrap reduction, and downtime reduction.
- Build clear automation investment cases, including baseline losses, proposed solutions, and payback analysis.
- Lead vendors and integrators end-to-end through requirements, technical evaluation, and commissioning.
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance in automation design and commissioning, including risk assessments and safety validation.
- Drive continuous improvement using data-based root cause analysis and Lean tools.
- Develop standards for automation to reduce dependence on tribal knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience delivering manufacturing automation in production environments.
- 8+ years of experience building business cases and delivering verified savings.
- Proficiency in overseeing and leading manufacturing automation delivery.
- Ability to translate manufacturing problems into measurable improvement initiatives.
- Strong vendor/integrator technical leadership skills.
- Data-driven problem-solving capability with a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience with heat exchanger manufacturing and/or commercial HVAC chiller assembly.
- Experience with automated welding, brazing processes, and/or automated leak/pressure testing.
- Familiarity with MES/traceability and industrial networking.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement leadership experience.
- Experience with control panel process and automation is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in Rockwell and Siemens PLCs.
- Data-driven problem-solving capability.
- Strong safety culture.

Pay and Benefits
