Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology
About the role
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified/board eligible, Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for their Advanced Heart Failure Transplant team in the Greater Austin Region.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for Transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
- Predominant amount of time in Round Rock with outreach to Lakeway 1 or 2 days a week.
- Expected call 1:4 in Round Rock location (Recovery program).
- Expected call 6 weeks a year in Temple location (VAD/HTx program).
- Dedicated HF nurses and APP once a week with plans for expansion.
- Opportunity to perform Cath lab procedures (i.e., right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitors) and read ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant.
Qualifications
- Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
