Advanced Food Service Technician, PRN

About the Role

Demonstrates proficiency in food preparation and meal assembly in all positions. Sets up and breaks down serving stations. Inventories and orders food and supplies following menus. Ensures tasks are completed when manager is not available. Directs the efforts of others.

Location: Mercy Hospital- Rehab, 615 S New Ballas Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63141

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and meal assembly in all positions
• Set up and break down serving stations
• Inventory and order food and supplies following menus
• Ensure tasks are completed in the absence of a manager
• Direct the efforts of others

Requirements

• ServSafe Food Handler Certificate (or State equivalent) within 90 days of hire
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Frequent: Lift floor to desk height of < 70 lbs.
• Continuous: Gripping < 40 lbs. on both sides, hand coordination
• Occasional: Overhead lifting of < 35 lbs., kneeling or crouching, carrying up to 70 lbs., pinch grip, data entry, balancing on slippery surfaces, push < 57 lbs. force, pull < 48 lbs. force

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 90 days of experience in hospital food service
