About the role
This position is responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals, often working closely with engineers to coordinate designs. The incumbent has deep knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within their area and understands relevant regulations and standards. They evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information, draw conclusions, and assist less experienced team members in using technology. This position completes a variety of non-routine technical assignments independently.
Responsibilities
- Take a personal lead in completing daily tasks and understanding personal task requirements.
- Demonstrate familiarity with basic CAD operations to function effectively on the project team.
- Check own work for errors and omissions prior to submittal to reviewer.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Century 3’s standard software, CAD standards, drawing management system, and plotting software.
- Take responsibility for their portion of the discipline’s scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
- High School diploma, Trade School, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience; some college-level courses preferred.
- 7–15 years of experience preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive a company vehicle to and from client sites.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations at client sites.
- Ability to safely climb ladders.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly for most of the day.
