About the Role
The ability to work across all listed disciplines is preferred, but candidates must have experience in:
- Electrical/Power
- Instrumentation/Controls
- Software Proficiencies (AutoCAD Electrical – experience required)
This electrical position requires wiring schematics and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency. All candidates must be able to perform these duties without training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering or a related field.
- 2–4 years of direct experience in instrumentation and control systems design.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and principles.
- Proficient technical writing skills for design and procurement specifications.
- Experience in PLC programming and HMI development, particularly with Rockwell Automation RSLogix/Studio 5000.
- Ability to conceptualize complex electrical designs, including NQA-1 requirements.
- Ability to maintain government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
- Engineer and design Plant Computer Systems and motion control systems.
- Perform PLC programming and HMI development using Rockwell or Siemens software.
- Prepare detailed design documents, proposals, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate on test strategies and prepare test plans and procedures.
- Utilize CAD and engineering software for design tasks, including MATLAB and AutoCAD.
- Compile data and write reports on engineering studies and project evaluations.
