About the Role
Provide diagnostic C.T. scans for interpretation by radiologists and performing physicians during interventional and special procedures such as biopsies, ablations, myelographies, arthographies, and similar. Assist radiologists in performing special C.T. procedures and deliver essential patient care for all procedures. Apply radiation safety principles, organize the daily schedule, and serve as a dedicated resource to the CT team on shift. Available for on-call duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic C.T. scans for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
- Assist in interventional and special procedures (e.g., biopsies, ablations, myelographies, arthographies).
- Provide patient care essential to all procedures.
- Apply principles of radiation safety.
- Organize the daily schedule and support the CT team on shift.
- Be available for on-call duties if required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completion of required clinical hours.
- One (1) year of relevant experience.
- State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) (CT) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
