About the role

As an Advanced Care Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner), you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics and conduct concierge medical at-home visits, treating patients with the supervision and oversight of an attending Physician. This pivotal role supports a growing organization delivering seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases typically seen in emergency departments or clinics.

Schedule: Per Diem, 7a-3p or 3p-11p on weekdays and weekends (2 shifts per month).

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine, including high-level conditions such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, acute abdominal pain with focal peritonitis, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis, sepsis, complex pediatric and geriatric patients, advanced EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, joint reductions, and ocular/ENT emergencies.
  • Perform medical procedures, including IV access, administration of fluids and medications, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, point-of-care (POC) testing, and EKGs.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to deliver care.
  • Assess and treat COVID-related cases, including clinical sample collection, POC testing, antibody blood tests, symptom management, and recommendations.
  • Maintain high-level clinical charting, including detailed history of present illness, physical exams, differential diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Work closely with the Medical Director and clinical team to adhere to policies and deliver top-quality care in an innovative setting.
  • Provide high-level customer service, addressing the needs of patients, families, and physicians.
  • Demonstrate professionalism with patients and colleagues.
  • Coordinate additional care with Care Coordination, house calls teams, or Medical Partners.
  • Contribute to operational projects to support overall success.
  • Ensure comprehensive transfer of responsibility for pending labs or imaging at the end of shifts.
  • Perform related duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).
  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program (required).
  • Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in Florida.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers.
  • DEA license (required).
  • ACLS and PALS certification (required upon hire).
  • House call, EMS/pre-hospital, or concierge experience (a plus).
  • Proven excellence in clinical care and patient satisfaction in emergency or urgent care settings.

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to use or learn systems such as Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce, and Humanity.
  • Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and medication administration.
  • Adaptability to work in a fluid, multitasking environment.
  • Strong process and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Comfort interfacing with five-star clientele.
