Advanced Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Media and Information

About the role

The Department of Media and Information (MI) at Michigan State University invites applications for an Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position. This role aims to complement and expand the department's dynamic and interdisciplinary faculty.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to or expand research areas within MI, such as human-computer interaction, human-robot interaction, rural computing, game studies and design, and the intersections between technology, policy, health, and society using computational and/or quantitative methods.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Human-Computer Interaction).
• Proven record of research excellence and potential for future contributions to the field.
• Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong research background in computational and/or quantitative approaches to studying technology and its impacts.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
