About the Role

The Advanced Analytics Developer will lead the creation of innovative analytical solutions that deliver actionable information to business leaders. They will utilize the Tableau visualization platform in addition to other commercial and open-source software products to create and maintain reusable analytical solutions, including reports and dashboards. They will partner with business leaders to understand drivers of success and leverage available data sources to design, develop, and deploy analytical solutions with practical business value.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy analytical solutions, including reports and dashboards, using Tableau and other tools.
  • Partner with business leaders to gather business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Access, manipulate, and interpret large data sets to inform decision-making, including data transformation at scale using tools such as Tableau Prep or Python.
  • Query data using SQL and analyze data using complex SQL queries, R, or Python.
  • Work with healthcare (operational/financial) data and healthcare EMR systems, especially Epic, Clarity, and Caboodle.
  • Communicate technical problems and solutions effectively to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Analytics) with a focus on Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analytics, performing quantitative and qualitative analytics, preferably in a hospital or healthcare delivery setting.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Tableau advanced features and demonstrated knowledge of best practices in data visualization.
  • Experience querying data using SQL and manipulating/analyzing data using complex SQL queries, R, or Python.
  • Previous experience working with healthcare (operational/financial) data and healthcare EMR systems (especially Epic, Clarity, Caboodle).
