Position Mission
Under the direction of the Director of College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), this role strategically implements and monitors district-wide Advanced Academics initiatives (PreK-12). The Coordinator ensures all students are on track to graduate with an Industry-Based Certification (IBC) or an Associate Degree, ensuring alignment with the Texas Accountability System. This position provides targeted support to campus leaders and CCMR Advisors to foster a positive school culture and address the academic and post-secondary needs of the student population.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Strategic Program Implementation
- Assist the Director in developing and revising a comprehensive district-wide Advanced Academics strategy (PreK-12) to ensure 95% of students are CCMR-ready by their senior year.
- Monitor the effectiveness of initiatives across campuses, including AP, Pre-AP, IB, OnRamps, Dual Credit, GT, CBE, and Exam for Acceleration.
- Support the development and design of campus Master Schedules to ensure proper placement for Advanced Academics and CTE programs.
- Ensure all graduation procedures and Advanced Academic procedures align with charter strategic planning goals and state accountability metrics.
Instructional Support & Capacity Building
- Provide targeted professional development and technical support to campus leaders, CCMR Advisors, and Middle School Counselors on best practices for advanced coursework.
- Aid CCMR Advisors and counselors in developing comprehensive guidance programs that address academic, career, and social-emotional needs through district-approved platforms.
- Collaborate with campus personnel to build systemic capacity for Advanced Academics, ensuring teachers have necessary resources and training for enrollment and instruction.
Data Management & Accountability
- Develop and maintain a rigorous transcript audit system to ensure district-wide compliance with the standardized GPA calculation policy (SB 1191).
- Create and manage a district-wide Graduation Audit timeline to monitor CCMR readiness and high school graduation requirements.
- Maintain a rigorous tracking cadence for TSIA, IBC, AP, and SAT School Day participation and pass rates.
- Monitor and report on longitudinal targets (up to 5 years post-graduation) for FAFSA completion, college enrollment, and workforce entry.
- Provide the CCMR Director with weekly/biweekly CCMR tracker summaries and updated monthly campus data tables.
- Obtain and use evaluative findings to identify achievement gaps and examine the effectiveness of curriculum in AP, Dual Credit, and TSI programs.
Advanced Academics & Testing Coordination
- Serve as the district liaison for Dual Credit partnerships, overseeing enrollment, information dissemination, and registration at the campus level.
- Collaborate with vendors and Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) to assist with contracts, agreements, and partnership maintenance.
Communication & Collaboration
- Disseminate High School Graduation requirements and state updates (HB 3/HB 5) to campus personnel and district leadership.
- Coordinate and facilitate High School Graduation meetings, Family Events and transition-related events (Career Nights, Job Fairs, Transition Nights).
- Maintain professional relationships with post-secondary schools and community agencies to define and share local job opportunities with stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Convey the charter's mission to the public and encourage support in accomplishing the mission.
