Position Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider works as part of the team providing medical services to the patients of All Care Health Center at our satellite clinics based in local homeless shelters and main clinic. SCHEDULE AND PAY 36- 40 Hour Position Clinic Open: Monday – Thursday 8AM - 7PM and Friday 8AM – 5PM. Scheduling needs will be discussed during interview. Annual salary range is $120,000- $135,000. Pay offer is based on education, experience, and a 1.0 FTE position.
Duties
Responsible for completing clinical duties to ensure quality patient care;
Takes complete, detailed and accurate histories, and performs complete physical examinations as scheduled or required.
Performs general patient examinations related to the patient's stated medical problems to establish diagnosis and develop an appropriate plan of care.
Works on optimizing patient quality outcomes (UDS, HEDIS, and others)
Requests appropriate laboratory and radiological procedures related to patient's condition to assist in diagnostic assessment.
Interprets results with review of physician as appropriate.
Requests appropriate therapeutic pharmacological regimes related to patient's diagnosis and condition.
Performs routine therapeutic procedures, including injections; care of superficial wounds and burns; removal of foreign bodies from skin; removal of sutures and other procedures as appropriate per privileges.
Instructs and counsels patients regarding their physical and mental health, including diet, social habits, family planning, normal growth and development, aging, and long-term management and understanding of patient’s disease.
Maintains efficiency by keeping on schedule and prioritizing patient agendas.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in Ambulatory Family Practice;
- Ability to obtain an advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Iowa prior to start date. (reimbursable expense)
- Bilingual Spanish (Preferred)
- Board Certified
- Current Federal DEA (reimbursable expense)
- Ability to obtain an Iowa CSA registrations (reimbursable expense)
