Adult Services Direct Support - Oak Hill
We are looking for caring and compassionate people to work in a 4-bed group home setting with male adults (over the age of 22) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Pay
- Pay range: $21.12 to $24.58 per hour, depending on education and experience
- $1,000 sign-on bonus
- Additional $250 bonus if MAP certified
Schedule
Monday - Friday; Noon - 8pm

Devereux Massachusetts is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Through residential and community placement services, we help individuals learn skills for independent living and making meaningful life choices.
In our adult community group home in Leominster, individuals learn independent living skills and are encouraged to make meaningful life choices. Our goal is to support individuals in accessing needed services, building community connections, and achieving the best quality of life possible.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will serve as a teacher, relationship builder, and environmental manager. Your role includes coaching and demonstrating skills to increase independence, developing positive connections with individuals and their support networks, and ensuring the safety and security of the home and community.
Responsibilities
- Coach and assist with hygiene routines, chore completion, and meal preparation
- Administer medications and complete required paperwork
- Plan and facilitate recreational activities
- Assist with transportation
- Support individuals in working toward and achieving their goals

Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with IDD/ASD preferred
- Must be MAP certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation in Rutland (Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM)
