Adult Services Direct Support - Newell Hill

Join Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in a rewarding career supporting intellectually and developmentally disabled adults (over the age of 22) in a community setting. This role is based in a 4-bed IDD/ASD adult male group home, where you will make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives by fostering independence, building relationships, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and assist individuals with hygiene routines, chore completion, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications and complete required paperwork.
• Plan and facilitate recreational activities.
• Assist with transportation and support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
• Monitor the safety and security of the home and community.
• Develop positive connections with individuals, their friends, families, and DDS service coordinators.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Must attend a 2-week paid orientation (Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM) in Rutland, MA.
• Must be MAPS certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.12 to $24.58 per hour, depending on experience and education. A $250 bonus is available if MAP certified.

Schedule

Sunday - Wednesday, 11PM - 9AM.
