Adult Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) - PRN - Days/Nights

About the role

Provide respiratory care treatments, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation
• Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases and EKGs
• Deliver intermittent therapy
• Assist with artificial airway management
• Document clinical information
• Educate patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic procedures
• Adapt care to patient age and needs
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Current state license and certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Proficiency in computer use, effective communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and prolonged standing
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols

Additional duties

• Maintain knowledge of laws and standards, ensure compliance, and participate in organizational programs on ethics, safety, and privacy
• Work in a dynamic healthcare environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous materials

Physical & Environmental Demands

Capable of exerting significant force, performing manual tasks, and working in environments with occupational health risks. Must be able to work in various settings, including patient care areas, and travel between facilities as needed.
