Adult Mental Health Nurse - RN

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care per the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
- Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
- Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

About our organization
Medical City Green Oaks Hospital has been to become the premier psychiatric treatment facility in North Texas since 1983. We provide mental health and chemical dependency (substance use) treatments. We offer psychiatric emergency services (PES), inpatient, and outpatient treatments. Our sole purpose is to provide immediate access to psychiatric care for our North Texas community.
