Adult Education Part-Time ESOL I and II Instructor (morning)
About the Role
Instruct adult learners in basic education, ESOL courses and theory classes using instructional methods geared toward adults.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach Adult Basic Education, ESOL using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting
- Plan and prepare curriculum and class lessons; implement a variety of instructional delivery methods, which includes group or individual instruction and computer programs; and administer tests to determine individual progress
- Complete and maintain student attendance
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated
- Remain current with essential program related information
- Maintain robust and accurate student records
- Build a classroom environment that is conducive to learning while maintaining effective classroom management
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established curriculum goals, communicate clear objectives to the students for all lessons, units and projects
- Act as a Mentor when needed to ensure student success
- Perform related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
- All other duties assigned by the Superintendent and the Director
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with appropriate content area experience in instruction. Other Teaching Certificate.

Spring: January 11, 2027 - April 15, 2027 - May 3, 2027 - June 17, 2027
No class: October 12, 2026, November 11, 2026, November 25, 2026 - November 26, 2026, December 21, 2026 - January 7, 2027 and May 31, 2027
Winter Break: February 15, 2027 - February 18, 2027
Spring Break: April 19, 2027 - April 22, 2027
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
