Adult Education – LPN-RN Clinical Instructor (one day/week)

About the role

Collaborate effectively with staff to facilitate meaningful clinical experiences that support course outcomes. Assist students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to safely and effectively participate in nursing practice. Cultivate student learning in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Emphasize and maintain the philosophy and framework of Vantage Career Center and the Nursing programs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate clinical experiences that align with course outcomes
• Support student acquisition of nursing knowledge, skills, and safe practice behaviors
• Teach and mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments
• Maintain and promote the philosophy and framework of Vantage Career Center and its Nursing programs

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Ohio or a compact license
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of practice as a Registered Nurse
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff and students
• Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., negative tuberculosis test)
• Record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
• Compliance with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
• Ability to keep current with technology and workplace innovations supporting job functions
• Commitment to staying current with occupational trends and essential employer-demanded skills

Pay

Per negotiated agreement.

Schedule
