Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience in career coaching, career navigation, and job placement

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Career Pathway objectives, including recruitment, career guidance, transition, and retention support, and successful completion of training.
  • Develop and present workshops, events, programming, and occupational information to various audiences, including employers.
  • Collaborate with Transfer Offices to identify and promote university transfer pathways (2+2 agreements) to students in the workforce and academic programs.
  • Affiliate in the development and maintenance of marketing materials, the AEL website, and recruitment activities to increase enrollment of students from underserved populations.
  • Attend and participate in professional development activities as required by the grant.

Supplemental Functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of AEL grant requirements and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Guidance for Grants and Agreements
  • Knowledge of AEL curricula
  • Knowledge of workforce programs, marketing recruitment, and related industry clusters
  • Knowledge of campus resources, processes, and departments such as admissions, financial aid, placement testing, and registration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills
  • Effective organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage students in their efforts to achieve certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to meet deadlines and shift quickly between several tasks without loss of continuity
  • Ability to communicate technical and complex information both orally, visually in multiple formats, and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with other employees and actively participate as a team member
  • Ability to work effectively without undue instruction or supervision
  • Ability to build partnerships with external stakeholders

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
  • Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
  • Office environment. Little physical effort required.

Compensation

Salary range: $59,472.00 - $72,527.00
